Hank Boerner Named to Issue Management Council Board of Directors

Henry ("Hank") Boerner of Manhasset, Managing Director-New York for the consulting firm of Rowan & Blewitt,
has been named to the Board of Directors of the Leesburg, Virginia-based Issue Management Council. The Council
is an international professional membership organization for corporate and not-for-profit issue managers. It
serves as the global clearinghouse for information on management disciplines and corporate processes involving
issue management. IMC's goal is enhancing organizational and individual managers' ability to anticipate and
manage emerging issues. Membership represents companies in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Hank Boerner has over three decades of corporate communications, investor communications and issue and crisis
management experience. He is widely recognized for his expertise in governance, corporate and institutional
accountability and corporate social responsibility. Before becoming a consultant, Boerner was a vice-president
and senior communications manager for the New York Stock Exchange.
Earlier in his career Boerner served as the Long Island Rail Road's director of public relations and community
affairs, and as a communications and public affairs manager of American Airlines.
Rowan & Blewitt, part of the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG), is a multi-disciplined public relations, issues and
crisis management firm with offices in New York and Herndon, Virginia.
